Stock cabinets are pre-made in standard sizes. They’re the most affordable and fastest to install, but you’re limited to set dimensions and finishes. If your kitchen has standard measurements and you’re working with a tight budget, stock cabinets can work fine.
Semi-custom cabinets offer more flexibility. You can adjust heights, depths, and widths to fit your space, and there are more door styles and finishes to choose from. They’re built to order, so lead times are longer than stock, but you get a more tailored fit without the cost of full custom.
Custom cabinets are built specifically for your kitchen. Every dimension, detail, and finish is chosen by you. If you have an unusual layout, want specific organizational features, or have a particular design vision, custom is the way to go. It’s the most expensive option and takes the longest, but the result is cabinetry that fits your space perfectly and lasts decades.
